5 comic, graphic novels and manga series to check out for the Spooky Season !

Here are three comics you really should think about reading, especially during this starting and continuing spooky season. Of course I'll try to mention comics that I haven't previously mentioned as to give more options !

1. Moonstruck series by Gracemail Ellis, Shae Beagle, Kate Leth, Caitlin Quirk & Clayton Cowles

This series is set up in a world where every supernatural creature lives and coexists in a world much like our own. It's a super cute queer romance story, a lot of it happens in a coffee shop as it is where our main character works.
The story is beautiful you made, there are mini stories and adventures along the way which are also super well developed.

2. The Backstagers series by James Tynion IV, Rian Sygh & Walter Baiamonte

This is a story following a group of students who work Backstage in a school, thus they are the backstagers. This is a special kind of Backstage as in their club room there is a magic door that opens to a parallel sort of backstagers universe where they have adventures and get the necessary supplies to make the stage and set up the special effects for the shows.
This also has diverse and queer characters,

3. The Girl from the Other Side by Nagabe, Adrienne Beck & Lys Blakeslee

This is an adorable Manga series about a little girl who lives with an outsider far from the human villages. You start the story without knowing much which is in my opinion the best way to go into it. This is a very atmospheric story, it's dark and very captivating.

4. Atelier of Witch Hat series by Kamome Shirahama

This series is adorable and somehow very dark ? I was not expecting it to have such a dark turn, but that's spoilers so hum...; This is the story of a young girl living in a village, when her family gets visited by a magician she does the unthinkable looking at him performing a spell. Due to those who aren't magicians being prohibited from knowing the secrets behind the magic, she gets taken in as an apprentice to save her life.


5. Blackbird by Sam Humphries, Jen Bartel & Trionna Farrell

This graphic novel series just started, this is one to keep an eye out for.
It all starts in a supernatural catastrophe where our main character will be left alive, only for it to be solved and to discover that unlike everyone else she can remember it all. She then goes on a journey to discover what really happened and the truth behind the beings/humans that erased the memory of everyone.
